WOW TALKS is pleased to announce that we are hosting a dedicated WOW Talks // Women in Tech Schools session on the afternoon of September 20th with a programme that is tailored for for girls ages 14-16.

The programme is identical to the evening session, with inspiring female tech entrepreneurs and execs sharing their personal stories intertwined with exciting performances, but there will be different interactive workshops for the students to participate in (e.g. Introduction to the Internet of Things) and the chance to learn about work experience, apprenticeship and continuing education opportunities.

Each school that registers will be allocated between 10 and 20 tickets for this exciting event. Tickets will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. (The venue can accommodate up to 500 people.)

1:00pm   Workshops, demos and student/mentor networking

WOW Talks is also delighted to announce that the first schools to register for WOW Talks // Women in Tech will have the opportunity to have their students participate in #AcornHackWOW - a 2-day girls’ hackathon taking place 24-25th September, hosted by our partner Acorn Aspirations at Entrepreneur First.

During this immersive weekend, the girls will collaborate with female developers and entrepreneurs from the TechCity community and develop apps and platforms that could transform the world around them. (More information here)

There are 100 tickets available for this event and once again, they will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. These events are all FREE but we do ask that you register your school with the number of tickets you require.
